Three staplebound card-wrapped quartos, two mimeographed with illustrated front covers, one photocopied with blue cover (28cm); each illustrated throughout; (123pp; 113pp; 127pp). All generally toned and rubbed at margins with mild soiling and rusting staples, as expected. Previous owner name in pencil to front cover top margin of Button Bright, and heavier toning to covers of Saw Horse with offset outline of a rectangular item to front. Interiors fairly clean, with creases likely pressed in during printing to some Blue Emperor pages. Photocopied promotional flyer for Dura Binding Co. in Marlboro, Massachusetts loosely laid in to front of Button Bright. Computer punch card laid into Saw Horse, likely as a bookmark. While this copy of The Blue Emperor of Oz is a reprint done in 1982, its original publication in 1966 marked it as the first full length Oz pastiche. All three copies were produced and bound inexpensively, though the promotional flyer, likely written by the author, mentions you could get Button Bright hardcover bound for around $5 by Dura Binding Co. It also notes "If you color the cover picture and ask them to put it on the hard cover, it will look more like a printed Oz book." Only a handful of copies of each mentioned in OCLC, mostly at Hollins, Kansas State, and Bowling Green State Universities as well as Bryn Mawr College.…
