Bound in cream cloth with titles in red on front board and spine and black and gray illustration on front board. Only Pidgin's name appears on board titles, omitting John M. Taylor who is listed on the title page. Illustrated by Harold James Cue. Square, tight and clean throughout with perhaps just a touch of softness to the spine ends. Gentle bump to the top front tip. Little if any toning. Remarkably fresh and bright and seldom seen in such nice condition. About as close to Fine as possible without being exactly so. Lacking scarce dust-jacket. Included is a very interesting two-page hand-written letter, signed by Pidgin, wherein he is replying to a reader who must have mis-understood an offering that Pidgin made for three books for a total of $3.00. He is trying to clear the matter up and to also apparently note that one other book has not yet arrived, though it is unclear if he was referring to an expected delivery from his publisher or elsewhere. He concludes by assuring that he will gladly sign the books and answer any questions, once payment is received. Other than creasing where the letter was folded for mailing, it is unblemished.
