Bound in leather with black label bearing gilt titling and gilt fillets to spine. Spine has heavy chipping and scuffing throughout and some stains to label. Boards have splitting to lower ends of joints, bumping to fore corners, shelfwear to edges, and rubbing and scuffing throughout. Text block has dust soiling and scuffing to edges, creasing to corners throughout, splitting to hinges, label to front pastedown, pen and penciling to front free endpaper, reduction to fore margins of pages 333-336 (text unaffected), and toning and foxing throughout.
