Trägerfrequenzzug, Trupp 11.Abgesetzt und auf sich allein gestellt im russischen Ödland meisterte er gemeinsam mit seinen Kameraden den Alltag in einer kleinen Baracke nahe dem Dorf Krasnoje bei Smolensk. Dort errichteten sie die Verstärkerstelle 29, um Sprechverbindungen von der Front in das Reich sicherzustellen. Peter überlebte den erbarmungslosen Winter 1941/42 an der Ostfront.Mit dem Vormarsch der Roten Armee begann 1943 der Rückzug. Peter entkam nur knapp dem Tod und flüchtete unter Lebensgefahr nach Deutschland.Er geriet in britische Kriegsgefangenschaft und kehrte nach langer Zeit des Wartens und Hungerns im Sommer 1945 in die Heimat zurück.Dieses Buch beinhaltet: Tiefe Einblicke in das einfache und echte Soldatenleben im Zweiten Weltkrieg 31 originale Fotos aus der Dienstzeit Originale Urkunden und handgefertigte Zeichnungen von Hans Peter Koehler.
