Additional information about the binding: The book was finely bound by the firm of the master bookbinder Julius Ferdinand Bösenberg (1815-1881) of Leipzig, the attribution to the binding being given in the colophon at the back of the volume. As his son, the master bookbinder Gustav Walther Bösenberg (1845-1895), succeeded his father in the business after latter's death, this book's binding may have been completed under the supervision of Gustav Walther, as Julius Ferdinand died in 1881 and the colophon of the book states the book was completed in 1882.
