No Binding. Zustand: Very Good. A splendid original antique view printed in 1875. Superb original colouring. Mounted and ready to frame. Mount size approximately 15 x 12 inches, 38 x 30 cms. Excellent condition , bright crisp colouring. Shows much detail of the Country House, home at the time to the Douglas-Hamilton family - a good opportunity to obtain a copy of this scarce view.

un-illusted edition, 5 parts in one, 8vo (235 x 153 mm), 234pp., separate printed title page to each part, contemporary smooth calf, contrasting red and green leather spine label lettered in gilt, a nice copy. The complete 5 sales (2213 lots over seventeen days) of the works of arts from Hamilton Palace which produced the enormous sum of £397,539 over seventeen days. There was also an illustrated issue with 78 sepia carbon photo plates by James Craig Annan. Provenance: Contemporary ink signature of Thomas Gundy at head of title page; from the library of Josceline Grove, with bookplate and their typed catalogue description pasted to front endpapers.
