In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spines with the odd small mark to the board. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spines resulting in minor loss. Hinges starting but firm to volumes III and XII, with hinges failed to volume VII resulting in text block detaching from spine. Front hinge of volume X held by cords only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Light spotting to the reverse of the plates. Contemporary ink and pencil inscriptions to the front endpapers. Good.
