Vintage studio still photograph from the 1958 film, a publicity portrait of actress Dorothy Malone in a sequined leotard with a floral embellishment at one leg. A dramatization of the sordid life of Diana Barrymore, based on her 1957 autobiography, about her failed Hollywood career and descent into alcoholism (following in her father John's footsteps). An attempt to capitalize on the success of "The Bad and the Beautiful" (1952), which had also portrayed a fictionalized version of Barrymore through Lana Turner's character Georgia Lorrison. Barrymore would die two years after the film's release, in 1960. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good, moderately toned, with an ink annotation on the bottom margin of the recto.
