Archive of material from the 1973 television movie, originally planned to be the pilot episode of a television series, which originally aired on March 14, 1973, on NBC. Included in the archive are nine copies of a treatment script for a prospective episode, titled "A Fungi Affair," an early treatment script for an untitled separate episode, and a resume sheet for production company Philip D'Antoni Productions. D'Antoni was a major figure in 1970s New Hollywood Cinema, as the producer of "Bullitt" (1968), "The French Connection" (1972), and "The Seven-Ups" (1973). Two New York City police detectives?one in the process of retiring, the other still working on the force?investigate a drug-smuggling ring believed to be involved with foreign diplomats.
