Original printed wrappers. = Rare work on Russian Upper Carboniferous fossils, containing descriptions and illustrations of new and poorly known sea-lillies, sea urchins, corals, belemites, gastropods and fish. Published in the society's Nouveaux Mémoires, volume XIV. Last part of two. The first part is not included. Old stamp of the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien Paläeontologische Abt. on front wrapper, title, last text page and plate versos (not shining through).

Original printed wrappers. = The work deals with "polypiers" and includes new species of corals. Old stamps on front wrapper, plate versos and some text page margins, one plate with edges chipped (not near the printed surface), otherwise a good copy. Rare.

Original printed wrappers. = Important study with the description and illustration of some new species by Hermann Trautschold (1817-1902). "Trautschold is an outstanding researcher of the Carboniferous, Jurassic and Cretaceous geology of central Russia. Three decades (1857-1888) he lived in Moscow and moved from tutor and lecturer of the German language to Professor of Geology of Peter's Agricultural University. All these years Trautschold was unceasing in palaeontological and stratigraphical researches (Naturalis Digital Academic Repository). Published in the Nouveau Mémoires de la Société des Naturalistes de Moscou and printed by the Université Impériale. Wrappers soiled, edges a bit frayed. One plate rather foxed, the others with only a few weak spots and in general a good, complete copy. Rare.
