Softcover. Zustand: Near Fine. WEST AUSTRALIANA -"Fifty-one authors from the Great Southern have dug deep to share their feelings of love and passion, yearning and grief and their search for happiness and contentment. They love and defend our extraordinary natural environment. They shudder at the horrors of war, they try to reconcile themselves with our uncomfortable past and present and they contemplate truths about the modern condition and their advancing years. But they also bring us laughter, satire, poetry for performance, music and song. They take the reader to faraway places they have experienced and to worlds they imagine. Join our writers - some already published, others brand new to the public - and travel on their journeys with the written word. On the way you will come across the winners and shortlisted entrants for the Creative Albany Awards. Voices of the South is a community venture, with donations and surpluses bound for the Albany Community Hospice. 327 pages ; 25 cm First Edition. #270426 Short stories Poetry, Modern -- 21st century Prose poems, Australian Elizabeth's Bookshops have been one of Australia's premier independent book dealers since 1973.
