Guard". Of 23,000 copies this is the only one I have located with an inscription or signature by Guard. Samuel R. Gard worked in enterprises related to agriculture all of his life, and he was the owner and editor of Breeder's Gazette, a livestock farming magazine. Guard lived on a thirteen-acre farm at Anchorage, Kentucky, a farm he called Little Meadows since it resembled Daniel Boone's Great Meadows. Contains supplications or prayers by a farmer, for a farmer.

The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped but has the price (looks like one dollar) coverered by a little ballpoint ink dot, some minor chips mainly to the top edge of the front panel, very little paper loss.
