A comprehensive observation of the trees from…the eastern arboretum, or a register of the trees, seats and gardens found in Norfolk, with popular delineations of the British Sylva.Illustrated with forty-six plates, some of which are folding. Lacking four plates. Written by British botanist James Grigor, best known for this particular work, the research of which took twenty years. With the bookplate of Monasterii to the front paste down, with 'Cancelled' stamp and a number of other library marks. Library number to the title page. Bound in the publisher's cloth. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Rubbing to the joints and slight loss to the spine head and tail. Bookplate to front paste down. Ink note to front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound, although strained in places. Plate following p200 is detached. Lacking 4 plates. Ink note to title page.
