The essays from Harrop and Hughes were originally published in 1923. The text is printed in both English and Welsh. Bound in light blue paper covers with titling and the press device on the front cover. Covers are fine as are the interior pages. Measures 7 x 11 inches. Unpaginated [16 pages plus colophon] PRI/111523.

In addition the description of the book and the information about the participants there is a full-page copy of one of Rigby Graham's striking engravings. An order form for the book is inserted. Text block edges uncut, (iv), v-x, (2), 112, (2) pp. An edition limited to 175 copies plus the un-numbered, of which this is one. Unique, superb condition.

Then there were 20 specials. Completed on 14th September 1938 and then published 2nd November, 1938. Some offsetting to turn ins to first and last few blanks. A very attractive production. Internally, (xvi), 102 pp, 33 wood engravings by Colin Paynton, title panel and spine lettering by Michael Harvey. An edition limited to just 302 copies of which there were 22 specials and 280 ordinary bindings as is this. Designed and printed by David Esslemont, there were problems with the binding which caused a 6 month delay however in 1990 was selected for the British Book Design and Production Exhibition and was chosen as the category winner.
