Col. & Mrs. Gregson deviated from the main trade routefrom Srinagar to Yarkand, following the tracks of Col. Wood, Maj. K. Mason et al explorers, they left Karakoram Pass on the right and branched off to the N.W over the watershed to the valley called "Valley A" in earl- ier reports, leading to the headwaters of the Yarkand River.
