Dorothy Craigie was the pseudonym used by the artist Dorothy Glover, who is best remembered now as the one-time lover of Graham Greene with whom she lived for almost ten years. Greene and Glover collaborated on four other titles in the "Little." series, The Little Train (1946), The Little Red Fire Engine (1952),The Little Balloon (1953), and The Little Steamroller (1955).
