Zustand: New. KlappentextrnrnGourko was Chief of Russian Imperial General Staff 1916-17 & C-in-C of Western Armies (i.e. the Eastern Front) March-June 1917. it must rank as history rather than reminiscence. He gives an interesting but very guarded account .

Original cloth binding, xii, 265 pages, 12 plates, 2 maps, binding rubbed and somewhat soiled, small missing pieces at top of spine, binding a bit shaken, small remains of a removed label on rear endpaper, reading copy. Story of the "Moon-Lord", based on letters received from him about adventures in the region of Lake Baikal. Curious book, the frontispiece with a portrait of the author looks like a not too good photo-montage. Uncommon. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
