Here is another of the scarce books about railroads and circuses which I have been listing of late and of which Bob is the author of three of them. This one is titled: C.W. Parker- The Carnival King. This large but relatively slender, soft cover book (8 ½ x 11 inches, 82 pages) was published by Midway Museum Publications of Nashua, New Hampshire dated 1988 and the First Edition (so stated). The book is lavishly illustrated with vintage b&w photos of the operations of Mr. Barker and his carnival outfit which also used railroad trains for transport. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. There is some faint rubbing to the front cover which only highlights the binding. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and photos are clean and bright throughout. The binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.

Staying with the railroads and the Circus theme, here\u0092s another but this one quite scarce and sought-after: \u0093World of Mirth Shows\u0085A Remembrance\u0094 by Bob Goldsack. The subtitle reads: \u0093The largest midway on Earth- a 50 Car Railroad Show\u0094. This large soft cover book (8 \u00BD x 11 inches, 144 pages) was published by Greenhill Books of Randolph Center Vermont dated 1987 and the Second Printing of the 1984 First Edition (so stated). The book is well illustrated throughout with vintage b&w photos of the actual events of the World of Mirth shows around the country. The book also includes lengthy text sections explaining the history of this group of entertainers. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some rubbing of the finish along the front gutter of the book and some light bumping to the corners. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing of any kind. The binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
