In den WarenkorbFirst Edition. 21 x 15cm. Hardcover in half-leather prize binding, 287pp. Clifton College (Bristol) award label to front pastedown, dated 1931. This lavish publication was part of Seeley's 'The New Art Library' series edited by M.H. Spielmann and P.G.Konody. Profusely illustrated. Sections on the depiction of trees, clouds, water, snow, architecture, and artists' materials, etc. Oddly rare (the author, Frederick Glass, died in the year of the book's publication) - OCLC locates only two copies at the Royal Library of Belgium and the National Library of Scotland. 3cm closed tear to the margin of page 23, very small area of light pencil annotation to two pages. Top of spine slightly bumped. Otherwise good.
