Engraved hydrographical chart on watermarked double sheet, 99 x 63 cm, soundings in metres, lighthouses picked out in yellow and red, inset map of the port and town of Tenedos, central fold, a few very slight edge tears (to the generous margins), light spotting and surface soiling, but in very good condition. Fine and impressive large naval chart of this strategically important strait, then still under the control of the Ottoman Empire.
