(Anvers) (Antwerpen), Comité National de Secours et d'Alimentation, Province d'Anvers, 1915, in-4°, 75 pp, with several groundfloors and handcoloured designs of temporary houses to replace war devastated houses. Bound in full leather , blindtooled, no title on spine, original wrapper bound in. The wrapper consists of very heavy board like paper. A caption on the back wrapper stated that this paper is a specimen of the material used for the inner lining of the temporary houses. Fine condition. Published during the First World War this is a rare account of large scale efforts to relieve the acute scarcity of housing provoked by the German attack on Belgium. Already in 1915, when the war was only a few months old in the province of Antwerp 245 temporary constructions were erected.
