Bindings are solid and tight but volume 1 caught some water at some point. Front board has staining inner endpapers are fine and unmarked. Rear end paper shows some watermarks at the bottom and on the bottom of last six pages. Both volumes have some spine fading otherwise volume 2 is quite good. Gilt tops and rest of pages uncut. Letter is in fine condition. Signed by Author(s).

A ballet dancer meets and falls in love with a corporal but he is shipped off for the D-Day landing. When she gets word that he was killed she begins working as a prostitute, though he is alive and returns to London to find her. Set in London. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good, with creasing at the corners and along the right edge.
