Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are very mildly bowed. Light wear to unclipped dust jacket; tears, nicks and creases to spine, edge and corners. Light tanning to spine and edges. Tears to rear panel partially repaired with tape; tape marks to interior.

The wood engravings were printed from the wood, and the line blocks were made by Keene Engraving. The contents are able to make one gasp with pleasure. They are hand-pressed, the illustrations and other devices are tipped-in. The pages are gorgeous, creamy, thick, luxuriant in their elegance, very clean and very - as if brand new throughout.
