Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. 440 pages (complete). Willcocks exemplified the Victorian officer class. This memoir records his soldiering before his posting to the South African War, the Great War and his eventual time as Governor of Bermuda. He saw much action and was amply decorated. This copy has been given a new leather spine by a previous owner (this is neat and clubbable). The boards are much worn all about. They are scuffed and marked. Within, the contents are most agreeable - especially given the book's age. The pages are tight, clean, clear, thick, healthy and hale. fk.
