Bright yellow cloth-covered boards with black stamping of two elephants on the front cover, and black lettering on the spine. Bottom corners are bumped and beginning to fray. Blue and illustrated DJ of two elephants with black lettering on the front cover and spine. DJ is placed inside a plastic protective Brodart. Edges and corners are chipped but the illustration remains eye catching. Writing and school rubber stamp to front endpapers -- someone has written "library book", but I see no other library markings to indicate that. No date on title page. Copyright page is dated 1955. 92 pages. Interiors are clean and unmarked. Handsome black-and-white and green illustrations of elephants on every other page. Overall, a good copy.
