In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Fair. Subscriber's copies, complete in three parts. Accompanied by an Historical Text Including A Large Number of Plans and Details. An extensive collection of photographic plates, measured drawings, plans etc of buildings in England from the Tudor period, with accompanying textual analysis etc, presented in three large elephant folio, portfolios (approx 20 by 14.5 inches). The portfolios are soiled, heavily worn, with weakened cloth and some folds broken, eroded or detached, or cracked; but still doing their job of protecting the contents. Internally the contents are generally in very good, clean, bright and undamaged condition, with some minor spotting on places. The contents of Part I is incomplete, with a portion of the introductory text missing and some of the plates damaged, at times heavily; some have pencil notes on, where it would seem someone has priced plates individually (although largely images not affected). Included in Part I is a grand publisher's promotional booklet, extolling the virtues of this collection. Parts II and III are complete and in much better condition, with clean and clear contents, and only the occasional small flaw. Each portfolio contains a list of its contents - in each portfolio these are heavily worn at edges, chapped and folded and toned. Title pages in red and black. A monumental and impressive publication forming a stunning record of England's Tudor architectural heritage and historic buildings. All plates are numbered but not always consecutively. Elephant folio. This item cannot be shipped internationally. Architecture, Tudor Buildings, Tudor Architecture, Historic Buildings.
