Zustand: Wie Neu. Zustandsbeschreibung: leichte Lagerspuren. Eine lexikalische Analyse von Verb-Verb-Komposita und Serialverbkonstruktionen. Japanische Verb-Verb-Komposita, die aus zwei unabhängigen Verben gebildet werden, werfen die interessante Frage auf, wie sich Interpretation und Argumentstruktur des komplexen Verbs aus den beiden Teilverben systematisch herleiten lassen. Ausgangspunkt der vorliegenden Studie ist die Beobachtung, daß kausal interpretierte Komposita wie tumi-agaru (stapel-steigen) 'sich hoch aufstapeln' und Komposita wie sagasi-mawaru (such-herumlaufen) 'suchend herumlaufen', die keine kausale Relation zwischen den Teilverben aufweisen, deutliche Asymmetrien in den Argumentstrukturmustern zeigen. Auf der Basis dieser Beobachtung wird eine innovative Analyse entworfen, in der Argument- und Ereignisstruktur in einen unmittelbaren Zusammenhang gestellt werden. Als theoretischer Rahmen dient dabei die Lexikalische Dekompositionsgrammatik, die es erlaubt, diesen Zusammenhang durch die Interaktion teils verletzbarer Constraints auf der Ebene der Semantischen Form zu erfassen. Im Anschluß an die Analyse der japanischen Verbkomposita wird untersucht, ob sich der Ansatz auch auf Serialverbkonstruktionen übertragen läßt.
