Hardcover, 270 pages, ENG, 335 x 255 x 40 mm, NEW !!, protection case, Large Format, Full Page coloured illustrated, rare ex, . ISBN 9783865211514. "Michael Roberts is the Jean Cocteau of the fashion world," wrote the celebrated New Yorker editor Tina Brown in 1997, welcoming her new fashion editor to the most prestigious magazine in the world. Having already served for many years as a style editor (The London Sunday Times, Vanity Fair) and having produced numerous illustrations, photographs, paintings and columns of fashion criticism for various media, Roberts had already had his name coupled with Cocteau's, but his striking visual style is collected here for the first time. From evocative pen-and-ink sketches to acrylic paintings to intensely witty New Yorker covers created from cut paper, these works capture the fads, foibles and fashionability of our times. Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of American Vogue, in her introduction to "this beautiful book" calls them "fiendishly accurate satire." And the shoe guru Manolo Blahnik writes, "His drawings grasp fashion moments like a photo could never do." That a major part of the book was created through the painstaking method of paper collage especially appeals to the internationally famed fashion designer John Galliano. He writes, "I have avidly collected his work, along with doing my own collages, for years, and I am honored to be a part of this book." 2630 g.

In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Fine. First Edition Portrtfolio contains twenty loose illustrations from the fall/winter 2000-2001 collections as interpreted by Visionaire contributor Franois Berthoud. The unbound illustrations are wrapped in a wearable pony-skin cache-col and housed in a brushed-gold metal variegated box measuring 23 cms wide by 43 csm long and 6 cmc deep. Limited to 4400 numbered copies. Berthoud interprets twenty favourite new looks from the fall/winter 2000-2001 collections, which were all about excess and sensory overload. Flocking, foil stamping, sculpt-embossing, and honeycomb extension give the feeling in print of fur over metallic lace over sequins over a dress with leather appliques over patterned stockings. Collaborator Fendi's tactile ready-to-wear collection that season was a key source of inspiration. Highlights include designs by John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Viktor and Rolf, Junya Watanabe, and Helmut Lang. Fine. The gold metal box/ tray makes it quite heavy!

Zustand: Fine. First editions. Set of seven original Galliano lookbooks, from Spring/Summer 2010 through Fall/Winter 2015/2016 - including two menswear and five womenswear collections. The first lookbook in this collection, Spring/Summer 2010, predates John Galliano's ejection from both the House of Dior and his own eponymous label; its pages are filled with dark glamour, crimped hair, and shapes borrowed from the '20s and the '70s. The six later collections were designed by Bill Gaytten, who rose to the newly-vacant position of creative director in 2011 and led the House of Galliano in a refined and architectural direction, bringing structure, layers and even the occasional daring neutral palette to the formerly piratical and avant-garde atelier. 8'' x 5.5''. Four saddle-stapled and three perfect-bound volumes, all with pale peach printed wrappers. Illustrated with color photographs throughout. Trace wear to extremities.

Platinum is the New Marie Antoinette. Leather is the New Luxury. Veiling is the New Seduction.ÂDiorÂis the New Erotica." The show featured blood-splashed leather garments dedicated to the memory of Marie Antoinette.ÂIn fine condition. Double matted and framed. The entire piece measures 22 inches by 17 inches.
