The following characterizes all volumes: minor shelfwear, light bumping to head and tail of spine, light handling wear to exterior, previous owner's name written in ink on ffep. Binding strong and text clean in all volumes. Includ…es numerous black-and-white illustrations, all of which are clean. This is a three-volume set reprinting the 1788-1805 editions. Volume I is titled, simply, De Fructibus Et Seminibus Plantarum; ISBN for Volume I: 9061235006. Volume II is titled De Fructibus Et Seminibus Plantarum as well; ISBN for Volume II: 9061235022. Volumes I and II list Joseph Gaertner as the author. Volume III is titled Supplementum Carpologiae and lists Karl Friedrich von Gaertner as the author; ISBN for Volume III: 9061235030. ISBN for the series: 9061235006. Volume I and Volume III contain introductions, in English, by Prof. Dr. F.A. Safleu. The body of the text in all three volumes, however, is in Latin. The interior paper is slightly browned due to age; the front cover has a small note, and a few pages are slightly stained.
