Original large format 1922 gelatin silver photograph of Slide Lake Rocks in Ontario, showing a hiker at the base of a steep rocky incline with camera and case in hand. Caption in pencil on verso reads "On 'Slide Lake Rocks' Muskoka Canada. Sunday August 1921 in Company with Mr. Pelton Cec…il and Tom Fullerton". Photo measures 9-5/8 x 5-3/4 inches wide and mount measures 11-1/4 x 7-3/4 inches wide. Photo has some stains and scratches ; mount edges are rough, soiled and chipped, trimmed at upper and lower edges with a crack and small dents near side edges, not affecting photo. n.b. A quick search shows that Slide Lake is actually in Frontenac Provincial Park, a popular hiking destination, and not in Muskoka. However, there may be more than one Slide Lake in Ontario.
