The theological works of the African Catholic Saint Fulgentius [ 468 - 533 ]. Bishop of Ruspe in Tunisia & 'eminent among the Fathers of the Church for saintly life, eloquence and theological learning' ( Catholic Encyclopaedia ). Fulgentius was made Bishop against his wishes, his first passion being monastic seclusion, piety & poverty. The book contains his 'Contra Arianos' & 'Ad Trasimundum', , written in response to a challenge to Catholic authority by the Heretical Arian King Thrasamund, as well as the 'De Fide', a description of the true Faith, the 'Ad Monimum' which is a defence of St Augustine & the belief that Augustianian thought made God predestinate evil. Such was Fulgentius' elequence on the topic of predestination that his writings were central to the debate over the centuries to come. The book also contains Fulgentius' letters & sermons. 375 grams.
