In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. Originally published in 1942, published in this edition in 1960. Brown hardcover with title in faded gilt on spine. Condition: Very good, binding sound, no inscriptions. Dustjacket condition: Good, with light shelfwear, and general light foxing, more so around jacket edges. Not price-clipped. 57pp. Anna Ruth Fry, usually known as Ruth Fry (4 September 1878 26 April 1962), was a British Quaker writer, pacifist and peace activist. This book tells the story of three visits to Russia made by Fry in her position as general secretary of the Quaker Relief Committee, made in the years following the Revolution and Civil War. This was a period of experiment, and Fry's observations of the children's homes, schools, prisons and other institutions of the time shed light on the early years of Soviet rule.
