Important wartime poetry collection notably collecting some of the "Dymock" poets, including poems by Edward Thomas (with 18 poems under the pseudonym Edward Eastaway) who died that year at Arras. Also featured is Thomas's friend Robert Frost, and W. H. Davies, John Drinkwater, Wilfrid Wilson Gibson, Sturge Moore, and R. C. Trevelyan. Very slight archival restoration at spine, otherwise sound, very good indeed.

Some offsetting to both free endpapers, probably a reaction to the glue used in the paste-downs. All edges speckled. Some minor rubbing to extremities and scratching to the leather of the two bottom outer board corner pieces, but overall this is a lovely copy in a fine Victorian binding.
