A charming early children's book about two little imps- Nip, the tall, slim, serious chap, and Tuck, the fat, little sunny fellow- who travel to their child playmates on the wisp of a radio wave. They have perfectly unheard of adventures with the harsh North Wind, and inconceivably rare fun at Halloween. Then come the luscious surprises in Candyland and what happens to them on Christmas Eve makes for a captivating story. The book is illustrated with 8 full-page color plates, color illustrated endpapers, and numerous black & white drawings by the author. A near fine copy with some very light speckling to the covers, spine and bottom edge of the binding. The cloth is otherwise bright and unworn and the pastedown cover illustration as new. Internally the text and plates are in fine condition with no marks or wear. The very scarce jacket is in good condition with some soiling and wear. There is a 2 1/2 inch closed tear at the bottom of the front panel (repaired with tape) and a similar length closed tear on the rear panel in the upper right corner. The rear panel, with ads for other Sears titles, is quite soiled with a few small chips and tears at the top edge. Postage extra.…
