Este proyecto se centra en el estudio de la traducción para la subtitulación (subtit…ulación comercial o convencional, normalmente interlingüística, no para personas sordas o con restos de audición), con el objetivo esencial de describir sus normas profesionales.Se envió a las empresas de subtitulación del Estado español un cuestionario en línea para recabar información sobre su forma de trabajar en el ámbito de esta modalidad: formato de los subtítulos, segmentación de las líneas, criterios ortotipográficos, etc.El resultado es un mapa físico de cómo se realiza una parte importante del trabajo en la cadena de la subtitulación. Així, queda patente que, aunque hay ciertos parámetros que pueden diferir entre empresas o según el espacio de emisión del subtitulado, existen otros elementos de la subtitulación que sí se llevan a cabo de forma más homogénea y, por tanto, resultan fácilmente aplicables a la práctica docente.
