This book is a follow-up to another book about an earlier expedition titled: Hunting Extinct Animals in the Patagonian Pampas . Please find: The Deseado Formation of Patagonia by Frederic Brewster Loomis. This small hard cover book (6 ¼ x 9 ¼ inches, 232 pages) was published under the auspices of the Trustees of Amherst College, dated 1914 and the First Edition with the same date on title and copyright pages. The book is bound in maroon cloth boards with gilt decorations and titles on the cover. The book is amply illustrated throughout; I counted 160 captioned Figures in the text. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are very clean, just very slightly bumped and the spine is a bit faded. Inside, a former owner has left his name and address on the front endpapers but this is the only mark I found in the book. The interior pages are clean and bright without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Language: ENG.
