This is the Publisher's binding for the 1935 edityion the book first published in 1931. Top edge gilt, and a small label seems to have been removed f…rom ther front free end-paper. The head and tail of the spine a little rubbed commensurate with shelf-life and there are small creases to the first couple and last couple of pages which probably occured during the binding process. Some tone marks to first and last endpapers. Text is very good throughout - nice and clean, and includes lovely woodcuts by Freda Bone. She was the daughter of Sir David William Bone (1874-1959), a Scottish Commodore and author. 279pp + 1pp epilogue. Dimensions: Approximately 206mm high x 146mm wide x 30mm deep.
