Das Motiv des Tigers findet man oft in seinem Werk. - Fred Fredden Goldberg (1889-1973) war ein deutscher Künstler jüdischer Herkunft. In den frühen 1920er Jahren hielt er sich in San Francisco auf, wo er sich der Porträtmalerei widmete und Plakate entwarf. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Deutschland begann er ein Studium an der Königlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste in München. 1936 engagierte sich Goldberg in der Zionistischen Vereinigung für Deutschland und entwarf mehrere Plakate sowohl für die Vereinigung als auch für den Jüdischen Nationalfonds. 1938 reiste er nach Paris, wo er an der Académie des Beaux-Arts studierte. Nach der Besetzung Frankreichs floh er nach Shanghai, wo er sich auf traditionelle chinesische Kunst spezialisierte. 1948 wanderte er mit seiner Frau Susie in die Vereinigten Staaten aus, wo sie sich in San Francisco niederließen und Fred ein Atelier eröffnete. Fred Goldberg starb am 5. November 1973 in San Francisco. Seine Werke sind im Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York und in der Yoel Magnes Jewish Art Collection an der Berkeley University in Kalifornien ausgestellt. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 2001.
