Yet studies on ECE programs across the country reveal that too few offer high-quality programming. To date, the ECE field has focused most improvement efforts on classroom materials and interactions. Broadening these efforts to an organization-wide focus could better support quality improvement. The UChicago Consortium and the Ounce of Prevention Fund designed teacher and parent surveys, the 'Early Education Essential Organizational Supports Measurement System' (Early Ed Essentials), to help ECE sites diagnose organizational strengths and weaknesses. The current study tested whether the newly-adapted and designed Early Ed Essentials teacher and parent surveys captured reliable and valid information about the organization of ECE programs-information that is also associated with existing indicators of program quality.

An excellent copy. Frank Martin was a prolific life drawer. The book describes in detail his process. As he says 'they were not made as preliminary studies for other works such as paintings or prints; they were done for their own sake because I enjoyed drawing from life and found it a welcome relief from the cramped and solitary work of engraving wood-blocks for book illustration". He describes how they were all done in his studio in the 'Italian Village', an artist's studio colony set up before the war in Fulham just by Stamford Bridge, mainly using Camberwell School of Art students, where he was Professor of Engraving and Etching.

"A deep, funnel-shaped pool with a dark blue center. The resemblance to the corolla and color of a morning glory is responsible for its name in the early 1880s. It has been a popular thermal feature and a symbol of Yellowstone. The early stagecoach and automobile road came within a few feet of this pool until 1971 when the road was rerouted. Early visitors carelessly removed the delicate scalloped border and dumped debris into the pool. In 1950 the water level was lowered by siphoning which induced the pool to erupt. Socks, bath towels, 76 handkerchiefs, $86.27 in pennies, $8.10 in other coins came up; in all, 112 different objects were removed from Morning Glory. The debris had reduced the flow of water and contributed to the decline in temperature, causing bacteria to grow in the cooler yellow and orange edges of the pool."
