This poetry magazine began with a socialist slant and proceeded to chronicle avant garde currents of the mimeo poets and international surrealists in translation, with many contributions by the then-"king of the little magazines" Charles Bukowski, with ten of his poems in the debut issue alone, and appearances in issues 2, 3, 4, 7, & 8. The sixth issue is noteworthy as well, an anthology of works by Antonin Artaud translated by North Beach poet Jack Hirschman.
