Hildyard, Bookseller , in York, 1755, in-folio, 39 x 24 cm, 144 pp + (2)nn pp (index) with 117 copper engravings - 13 double page plates ; 70 single page plates ; 34 in text engravings. ( complete ). Bound in contemporary mottled calf, rebacked and with new endpapers. Ex-library copy with a small stamp on the recto side of the title page, a private stamp on the fly leaf. Inner joints cracked but binding is technically sound. At some pages a clear old waterstain in the lower margin. Apart from these remarks a good complete copy of the rare first edition.
