An original edition with illustrated boards of a boy holding a cricket bat. Heavy scuffing to the boards and spine that is particularly notable to the book edges. Loss to the cloth corners. A significant crack in the hinge beside the front board that makes it feel fairly loose and a lighter crack beside the rear board. A few pages and a plate are loose but present and the binding has slacker sections.The gold gilding to the page edges is scuffed and the loose pages have minor dog-eared edges.
