One photographic plate and a folding map, some damp staining to inner margins, this causing significant damage to "The Old Oak Tree". Original wrappers, stapled as issued, these somewhat rusted, one upper wrapper inscribed fulsomely in ink from the author to Whitby artist E.E. Anderson and another six with briefer pencilled inscriptions. An unique collection of offprints from The Naturalist and The North-Western Naturalist plus two originally published in the Old Owensian Journal. Also included is a photograph of the author, a copy of the Northern Ecological Association's membership list for 1937, a printed new year's card and a copy of Flintoff's bookplate, plus two autograph letters from Flintoff to Anderson which are general in tone and give evidence of a strong friendship between the two.
