Highet, Juvenal the Satirist, Oxford, 1954, p. 303 does not add anything to what was already claimed to be evidence that Eugenius of Toledo was acquainted with Juvenals work. Eugenius 40.4 is compared with Juvenal 8.25 iustitiaeque tenax and Eugenius 77.3 is compared with Juvenal 9.124 utile consilium. Iustitiaeque tenax recalls Horace, Odes 3.3.1 iustum et tenacem propositi, Apul. Apol. 102 iustitiae pertinacem, Eutrop. 9.11.12 iusti tenax and Amm.
