Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fair. Augustine Fitzgerald (illustrator). x, 204 pages : 63 illustrations in color and many drawings in the text. This is an exceptional copy of the Fitzgerald book. It is attractively and sturdily bound; its dust jacket torn but quite presentable. The publisher's decorative binding is sturdy, its corners sharp, the head and foot of its spine lightly worn; the top edge of its textblock is gilt, the fore- and bottom edges deckled; the inner hinges are strong, offsetting from the dust jacket at the fore-edges of the front and rear free endpapers, the contents and the colored illustrations are fine. The dust jacket, now in a Gaylord protector, is clean, with losses at its top edge and at the foot of its spine, and with the loss of some three-quarters of a square inch from the center of its spine. The title misprint ("America" for "Africa") on the front panel of the dust jacket has been corrected in pencil. 1940 grams.
