First edition hard back binding in publisher's original blue leatherette covered boards, gilt title and author lettering to the spine and front panel. 8vo. 8½'' x 5½''. Contains 191 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrations and photographs. Fine condition book in Very Good condition dust wrapper with light rubs and creases. SIGNED by the author to the front free end paper 'Best Wishes Ronald Cox'. Loosely inserted book advertisement from the publishers. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, this preserves and prolongs the life of the paper, it is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. Outlining the rules and regulations, general orders, and general observations for the Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Brigade, founded in 1873. Together with directions for the preservation of life in the event of fire.

Oblong 16mo. 1 page (2 lines). "Yours very sincerely / Eyre M Shaw". - With traces of old mounting on the verso. Added is a small collector's note.

Terrett and the Firemen were Edgar J. C. Evans, Jas. Evans, Geo Batts, Thos Bidmead, Chas. Crompton, Ernest Baker, Henry Webb, Frank Webb, Robt. Williams and Fred Southgate. Light foxing to contents otherwise a clean and sound copy of a very scarce item.
