"Between 1809 and 1822 Fessenden divided his residence between Brattleboro and Bellows Falls, Vermont, where he renewed his interests in science, agriculture, and law" (ANB). During this time he edited two newspapers, the Brattleboro Reporter (1815-1816) and the Vermont Intelligencer (1817-1822), and then moved to Boston in 1822, where he founded the New England Farmer, which he published until his death. An uncommon, fragile Vermont imprint, in unrestored and original condition.
