Première édition commerciale, rare, de la thèse de l'auteur, dédiée à Guyon. Cet ouvrage fut récompensé…d'une médaille d'argent par la Faculté de médecine. Il s'agit d'un ouvrage pionnier dans l'histoire de l'anesthésie loco-régionale. Il fonda à Paris, en 1907, l'hôpital d'urologie où il avait rassemblé dans un musée tous les calculs qu'il avait recueillis ainsi que des instruments de chirurgie urinaire dont quelques-uns étaient de son invention. Exemplaire offert par l'auteur, avec cachet "Hommage" sur la couverture. Bel exemplaire.
