Aug. 1679 mit dem Bau der neuen Orgel begonnen,- die Klosterinsassen hatten den Bau dem Orgeln mâcher Johann Adam d. Aelt. aus St. Mihiel übertragen. Adam war ein Orgelbauer von Ruf, besonders seitdem er die Orgel der Pfarrkirche St. Gregor in Stenay erneuert hatte, wobei er von seinem Sohne Johann unterstützt worden war. Im Juni 1681 wurde die Orgel von Joseph Dageville eingeweiht, der gerade zum Organisten der Abtei gewählt worden war. Und seitdem nimmt dieses prachtvolle und herrliche Werk die weite Tribüne ein, die man an den alten romanischen Turm an der Westseite der Kirche angebaut hatte. Eine besondere Note dekorativer Art besitzt das Werk durch die so charakteristische Anordnung der beiden Seiten" türme, die, über 18 Fuß hoch, den Gesamtbau umrahmen.
