It is the only updated monolithic book about the business founded in 1818 as the New England Glass Company, moving to a new factory built in Toledo in 1888 after which the name was changed to Libbey Glass Company. Today, as part of Owens-Illinois, Inc., it continues to operate as America's Oldest Glassmaker. Pictorial History pages highlight the people, places and events over Libbey's more than a century and a half history. Milestones are reviewed in brief text, with over 200 illustrations, most of which never before have been published.
